The card design that I used represents Jack and the Bean stalk and is based off of that and not much else. It has really no significant meaning to me outside of that, but I felt as though it would be appropriate in this situation.
Some problems I faced were thinking of a design to use for the hearts, eventually I found a design that I liked and looked nice. Then I faced the problem with whch drawing the design on the paper, because of the angles and nature of the design. Eventually I decided to redo what I had already done with that and use a different method to accomplish the problem.
I am happy with end result of this project, although I wanted to do more, time was just not of the essence. I think the project was a success for myself personally, because of what I managed to accomplish with a near blank template.
We chose to do dragon we did because it was a simplistic and realistic design. With only connecting straight lines that could be easily manipulated to form curves and corners.
A few of the problems we encountered were, the difficulty of attaching the tape and having the tape stick in place as other pieces were attached and pulled away from it. Another difficult part was the fact that none of us were able to scale to a great extent, so the final piece looked off proportion to the intended. To solve these problems we had one person hold up the current piece of tape while we worked with new ones, so that we wouldn't have to go back over it. As for the scaling issue we tried to use hands and limbs as accurate scales.
The project could have gone better with a little bit more time, but otherwise I feel as though it was a success. We managed to get a nice piece together in the time allotted.
The piece I chose to do the chess piece project on was nothing specific. It was just something that I decided to go with as I was creating it.
Some problems I faced while doing this project were, because of the design I used it was slightly difficult to form into the correct shape. Another problem was the time restriction I found myself stuck within, and that things didn't go correctly the first time so I'd have to go back and redesign it more than once.
Overall I am partially happy with the result of the project. Even though it was not finished in time, I feel as though the look of the end result is unique and is an eye catcher to someone.
My story project represents my life by representing and displaying the pictures taken from my life in a flowing manner. These pictures represent specific events that I am proud of and enjoyed within my life.
My vision tool is a simple one, one that I combined with my vasetransformation. My vision tool was to remember and live like my grandfather did. He inspired me to do things right and just towards people and I want to keep that going.
My vase transformation project was focused on transforming it into a remembrance for my grandfather. He was really inspirational to me so I thought this would be a good way to represent and remember him.
When I first entered the class my creativity waslimited and not very developed. As the semeter went on I began to think a little more creatively and started to have a lot more ease with projects.
My favorite project was probably I can create use my art skills to create unique and innovative works of art and design unique products.
I can understand the relationship between personal experiences and the development of a work of art.
